The Rev. Lindsay Paul Jordan, Senior Pastor
Pastor Jordan began his ministry with the people of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in July of 2006, having served congregations as an ordained pastor and a youth minister in Pennsylvania, Minnesota, North Dakota, New Mexico, Iowa and Wisconsin. Pastor Jordan was ordained in 1995. He is a graduate of Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. He did his undergraduate work at Luther College of Decorah, IA and Waldorf College of Forest City, IA.
Pastor Jordan is married to Kimberly, Director of Pastoral Care for Bethany Lutheran Homes of La Crosse, WI. The Jordans have two boys, Paul and Sam. As a family they enjoy traveling, camping, the Milwaukee Brewers, reading, and good coffee. Pastor Jordan is a stained glass artist and creates works both large and small.
In addition to serving as Senior Pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran, Pastor Jordan serves as Dean of the South Conference of the La Crosse Area Synod. he is a member of the Synod Council and serves on the Synod's Global Mission Committee and the Ethiopia Companion Synod Subcommittee.
The Rev. Margaret Eiben Hoversten
Pastor Hoversten began her ministry at GSLC in December 2007. She previsously served a two-point parish in the La Crosse Area Synod and prior to ordination worked as a youth director and in camping ministry in Minnesota, Iowa and Texas. She is a graduate of Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN and did her undergraduate work at Wartburg College in Waverly, IA.
Pastor Hoversten is married to Robert, Business Intelligence Manager at Organic Valley in La Farge, WI. They have two children, Kenny and Elizabeth. As a family they enjoy walking together, reading, music and spending time near water - the Mississippi or Minnesota lakes. They also enjoy hosting potlucks and visiting with friends.
Pastor Hoversten and her family are active at Pleasant Ridge Waldorf School, where she serves as Chair for the annual Holiday Faire and an active member of the long-range planning committee. Pastor Hovesten also chairs the Professional Service and Care Committee of the La Crosse Area Synod, serves as Secretary on the Bethel Home and Services Board and secretary of the Viroqua Ministerial Association.
Brenda Wright, Administrative Assistant
Brenda began serving as Administrative Assitant in March 2008. She is a graduate of University of Wisconsin, La Crosse and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing. Brenda is married to David, Dean of Students and Agriculture Instructor for the La Farge School District. The Wrights have three children, Tyler, Trevor and Hannah and are active members of Peace Lutheran Church in Readstown, WI.
