Good Shepherd's Seating Capacity
The Main Floor has 44 pews in 22 rows that can comfortably seat 8 people each, providing 352 seats. The choir transept, which is also on the main floor has four pews in it that can comfortably seat 10 people each, providing 40 seats. The balcony at the back has seven pews. They can comfortably seat 10 people, providing 70 seats. A chapel on the main floor can be used for overflow seating, using individual chairs, seating 50 people. The entrance to the church can also be used as overflow when dividing windows are opened, providing additional seating by folding chair for 30 to 40 more people. Total comfortable capacity is, thus about 550 people, when overflow spaces are utilized.
Aisles in the Worship Center
Our worship center's main floor has three aisles, a center aisle and one on either side of the seating areas. The center aisle is 59 feet from the back of the sanctuary to the front pew. It extends another 10 feet, seven inches before it comes to the first step at the communion railing.
Musical Instruments
Good Shepherd's organ is a 1970, 19 rank, 25 stop, 2 manual, Wicks Pipe organ. Our grand piano is a six foot Chickering.
Nursery
Tucked off the front of the sanctuary is a nursery area for children, when supervised.
Handicap Accessibility
Good Shepherd's sanctuary is accesssible via an elevator that services the main floor (sancutary) and the fellowship hall (basement).
Restrooms
The main floor of the ubilding does not have restrooms. Restrooms are located in the fellowship hall below the sanctuary. One fo the restrooms in the basement is designated for those with disabilities.
Sound System
Good Shepherd's sanctuary has a state of the art sound system. It has 24 channels and provides excellent quality sound reproduction. For those with difficulty hearing, assisted listening devices are available in the entry to the church.br />
